Meet Susannah

Susannah is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience in the counseling field. In addition to counseling, she has taught many courses in meditation, attuned others in Reiki, facilitated workshops and retreats, and utilizes her highly developed intuition to conduct intuitive consultations. She facilitates all these services with the utmost respect, integrity and confidentiality.
Susannah is a well trained and highly experienced counselor, grounded in traditional counseling methods such as rational-emotive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy, and Jungian psychotherapy. She is trained in the transpersonal modalities of psychosynthesis, mindfulness based interventions, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), and is a Certified Hypnotherapist as well as a Licensed Qualified HeartMath Instructor.
In 2010, Susannah resigned from her position as a counselor and administrator of the University of Mississippi's Counseling Center in order to broaden her scope of services to the larger community. She caters her services to those who are seeking greater wholeness and well-being as they awaken their natural capacity to live a heart-centered life.
Susannah's personal, spiritual search has involved an eclectic mix of influences, beginning with her father, who was a Baptist Minister and Professor of Religion and Philosophy. His death, when Susannah was 16 years old, propelled her on a quest for the meaning of life and death. Over the years she has studied and practiced spiritual teachings from various cultures and traditions, which allows her to work with clients from all faiths and belief systems. From her life experience she has realized that all suffering arises from the fearful illusion of separation from one's higher power, and the key to releasing this fear is found in the present, NOW moment.
